I have a small problem with my new blackberry curve 8330 and when I send a text, it lags for 40 seconds and then decides to send. My phone has unlimeted internet and idk why it does that.

SMS seems slower to send than data for some reason, I have noticed that on my carrier. An email message will send immediately but SMS for me can sometimes take as long as 15 seconds. Not often, but it can.
One thing that can cause SMS lag is lots of texts, so you might try deleting all your texts. Another cause might be many texts tagged to the same address. Also consider lowering the number of retained texts associated with an address - Options > SMS Text > Number of Previous Items = xx. I have mine set to 7.
