When in Messages, I select "Compose SMS Text" and I see at the top "160/1 of 6".

I know the 160 is the number of characters I can insert in a SMS text (and it reduces as I type), but what is that "1 0f 6" ??

I first thought it meant 1 of 6 addressees, but adding another address (mobile ph number) did not change that "1 of 6".

I have no other SMS texts (delete them all at the start of each billing cycle) and no 'Saved' text either.

Any idea what that "1 of 6" indicates????????

The first set of 160 characters maybe?

If you go past the 160 character limit it will splice up message in to part 2 of 6 and so on... then they should put the message together on the other end if their device can handle that, otherwise they get more than one message.

Yep, the 6 just means you're limited to 160 x 6 characters in your entire text message.

Haha, yeah I wasn't so sure about it so while I typed that, I was on my BB hammering keys to get to 161 characters to see if the 1/6 would change to 2/6
