Just got a new 8530 and am having trouble getting Sling Player to work. Anybody know what's going on? Searchng this forum didn't yield any useable results.

Well, I emailed Sling, this was their response (I'm on Verizon BTW):

There is a platform issue with the CDMA models that prevent SlingPlayer Mobile from streaming. RIM is working on this issue and until it is fixed, SPM will not run on those phones. However, we’re committed to continuing our current investigation into supporting CDMA phones.

We’ll update the Beta Community home page once we have more information.

Any update on this? I have seen how some have installed 1.0.0.11 and it works, others say it works and occassionally resets their device, etc.

Any word when it will be supported?
