I desperately need to use Evernote for Blackberry, but Evernote is not compatible with OS 4.5. Should we expect an upgrade from 4.5 to 4.6, for the 8300, or is that not going to happen?
    Thanks

Aren't there also rumors that only devices on 4.6 and higher will be able to upgrade?

Yeah, there are several rumors so you never know.

I'm just hoping that the 83xx models will get 5.0

Maybe the 83xx models will get 4.6...lol, I'd be happy with that.

None of it will probably happen, I'm getting the Tour as soon as it launches anyway

Ur wasting your time hoping for it. These old phones would implode if you put a new OS on them. If the pearl flip has a hard time running 4.6 over time, why would you expect the 83xx series to be able to run an even newer OS?

There are confirmed sightings of 83xx phones running 5.0 in the wild. Whether or not that actually translates to widespread availability is the question now.

It says it's for 4.6 and up and the Storm though.

I've also read the yes and no rumors about this. My new plan: stay with the curve IF it gets 5.0. If not, grab the Tour, hang on to it 'til next year when 4G devices and service start to roll out.

Yeah, I'm running it to. But it is not fully functional. You can't search your notes without going to the internet. In the web browser mode, you can't un-enrypt encrypted notes. You should see how great Evernote works from my iPod. Truly cool software.

Ok I got ya, my bad

That's why you were asking about 4.6, I didn't know there was a Evernote app.

I have a bad habit of reading posts to fast.

You're right it was going to called the Niagra but I believe that it's been changed to Tour.

It is a cross between the Bold and the 8900

The fact that the 8300 can't get a 5.0 update is b/c processor speed? memory ?

I'd love to have a Stormish OS ;-)

There is an 8300 that does have 4.6 which is the 8350i. So there probably is going to be a 4.6 for the other 83xxs. And also the first 8300 to have 4.5 was the 8330. And that had 4.5 before the 8300, 8310, and 8320. and then later on they had 4.5 for the other models. So there is a chance for 4.6 on the 83xxs.
