8520 is not a 3g phone, but i would still trade just because I couldn't stand the storm 1 ....if u had a storm 2 i would say no but a storm 1 I would . 8520 likely to have less freeze ups and more battery and is still a world phone and has great features and is also lighter in the pocket too.
Well my 9530 isnt a 3g phone either considering im using it on a GSM carrier. I really like my storm tho, which is why im not sure whether or not to trade it, its never given me any of the problems regularly associated with the storm 1s
the only real reason i want to trade it is because of the dedicated keyboard and wifi on the 8520
