Hey all! First post here and I have a few questions.

So, I have/had a sony w810i and my speakers went last week(6th phone broken in 3 years) So I called Rogers and spoke with the cancelation dept and the guy offered me a BB Curve for a good price of course. But they don't have it in stock till tomorrow or Tuesday.

So my questions are;

1) Do I have to get a data plan with rogers? They dont offer the 15 dollar unlimited browsing anymore I don't believe its just 15 dollar email plan.
2)If I don't have to get a data plan can I use my regular MY5 plan?
3) I want to use the GPS(its tricky getting around here) which is why I said okay to the BB. Will this need data to be used properly for directions even though it says it's built in?

Basically i'm trying to keep the price reasonable because i'm a student.
Any ideas on what I should do? or anyone with a BB from Rogers have any comments or suggestions?

Also I know its not using the phone to its full potential but hopefully after a few months I can afford a full data plan and the such..
