Search for the word "Wipe"
*** Warning: You may want to backup your device before proceeding ***
I believe you are asking how to Wipe your device, if so ...
Options > Security Options > General Settings > Blackberry button > Wipe Handheld
Thanks for the reply. I feel like an ***** as I saw this answer in the search results but for some reason I was looking for an option marked "Blackberry button" :o Hey Im a noob!
Will this just wipe my conatcts and return the handset to its factory default settings or will it remove all the applications that are preloaded too?
Wow, there is some serious censorship on this site. The word I d i O t is *** out in the early part of my message!
The process will just remove your personal data, but will keep installed applications. If you want to remove the applications, you can do so manually or, if you prefer, you can wipe the device and then reinstall the OS (There is a link in my signature for this).
Thanks again for the quick response.
I have an unlocked Blackberry curve 8900. If I restore my Blackberry Curve 8900 to factory settings, will it re-lock the phone?
thanks guys i was meaning to ask this too
No, nor will upgrading/downgrading or using other apps to wipe your device's OS... it wipes personal data, including personal changes to any settings for all the apps... in other words: back to factory settings.
A Security Wipe does NOT Reset a Blackberry to Factory Default Settings! The Security Wipe procedure does NOT erase configurations and settings, only data.
The answer is: loader.exe /resettofactory

Hello,
I would like to know if doing a Factory Reset (as you explained), will lock my phone back to the original carrier? I would like to have it factory reset but keep it unlocked for any carrier.
Best regards,
MK
As fatboy97 stated, the wipe won't re-lock your device

Hello Ahmed,
thank you very much for your reply, but it does not really hit the nail. You refer to wipe but anon_lynx correctly stated that wiping is not the same as Factory Reset. That is why I quoted anon_lynx post, I agree that the wipe will not factory reset the BB Curve. Nevertheless I appreciate your contribution!
Best Regards
MK
what he meant by '' loader.exe '' is reinstalling/reloading the OS. This also won't re-lock your device so don't worry.
If you are looking for how to reinstall/reload, have a look at the link in my signature ( any os installation procedure ). You will need to download an OS on your PC first to install it on your BB
