Questions about Unlock Code & updating OS

i have a black berry curve 8520 and it is locked on a network (mobinil egy) so when i tried to unlock it i go to
advanced option ===> sim card then i write "MEPD" it shows the information

ID: (Displays the number)
Personalization:
SIM Disabled
Network Disabled
Network Subset Disabled
Service Provider Disabled
Corporate Disabled

Phone Number:
unknown

then when i write "MEP2" it dosen't ask me to enter the code

so i want to know if i can fix that ? and if there are any other ways to unlock it please tell me about them?
and what is the latest software version for my device ?
and if i installed a soft ware will it be unlocked?

You don't need to enter a code. The phone is already fully unlocked.

I moved your thread into the Curve 85xx Forum. At top of forum you will find a Sticky thread for the latest OS available for your device. You can only use an OS made specifically for the 8520.

The OS being updated is irrelevant to your device being locked or unlocked.
To use an OS released for a specific carrier, you must remove the Vendor file from the OS folders on your PC before loading the OS to your device. The thread should have a post with instructions that cover this.
