I'm looking to buy a backup battery. The battery in my 8330 is currently a 3.7V, 1150 mAh, and I wasn't sure if it this was compatible; as it says 8300, but these are the Features:

1.100% new high quality generic (non-OEM) Li-Ion Battery
2.Count on staying connected by getting extra battery power today.
3.Latest Lithium Ion battery technology gives the best performance possible
compared to other battery technologies such as Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH).
    4.Cell type: Lithium Ion
    5.Voltage: 3.7V
    6.Capacity: 1100 mAh

    COMPATIBILITY LIST:

    BlackBerry 8300

    PACKAGE INCLUDES:
Replacement Lithium Ion Battery for BlackBerry 8300

Stick with an OEM battery such as this one:

Make sure it says 8330, that's my personal opinion. Go to the CB store and buy a Seidio high cap battery as it is very good and also comes with the replacement door. That's my backup and that's why I'm able to do a battery pull everyday. It does last a long time.

All good advice above, especially the Extended battery option
And yes a 8300 battery will properly power
an 8330. I just don't like the idea of non-OEM
