Mine was $30 for the unlimited data plan and an additional $15 for 1500 text messages. There's no way it should cost $90 for the data/text plans, unless you're talking about $90 TOTAL (including your minutes package).
$30.00 should cover you with ATT not including text messaging. It sounds like you may have the BB unlimited bundle with unlimited text, messaging(pictures etc). This was a common plan from a year or two back. You should switch to the cheaper plan depending on how much text messaging you will be using to non-BB users.
Well I have 4 curves on me
149.99 4000 min Fam shar
30.00 unlimited SMS/MMS
16.99 early N&W
9.99 per line
30.00 per BIS
But that's all cut 4 ways. We all use opera minn, jivetalk and google maps. So no need for anything else really. jive runs on your data but not every one is cool enought to have smartphones.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
I have the 39.99 phone plan. Plus 20 for unlimited text.
I have to have unlimited text right now, unless I can talk my friends into getting bb's I typically only use half of my phone minutes, and currently have 1400 roll-overs, that i'll never use.
Texting is my main form of communication. After visiting att website, my only option seemed to be this:
1. Call plan 40 $
2. BB plan 30 $
3. Unlimited text 20 $
With ATT, if you belong to a credit union or work for the government or state, you get an additional 15% discount.
That discount usually covers all of the taxes and fees they add on, so my total stays around $115/month.
Voice Plan for both mine and Hubby's Smartphones: $59.99
Unlimited Data plan for him (not BB - the shame): $40.00
Unlimited Blackberry BIS Plan: $30.00
Unlimited family text plan: $30.00
Total: $159.99 per month

Woot....I belong to Navy Fed Credit Union...gonna call them up to see if I can get in on the sweetness, and hopefully make my wife not as mad for me adding the datapackage to my curve. although when I suggested i drop her data on her iphone, she suddenly gave her blessings..
Wow, just reading the Crackberry discussion forums saved me 15%!!! Thanks for the info!!

I can attest to the 15% discount. I'm a military member and actually get 19% discount because I had the discount when it was Cingular. AT&T only does 15% but kept the 19% for anyone who had the discount when they were Cingular.
You can go to the following to see if your company or government agency qualifies you for a discount. Enter your work email address on the right side of the page where is says You may qualify for employee discounts. Find out? Of course you could also call them as well. I hope this helps someone.
