i have my heart set on buying a white 8520 curve , but i have 1 issue with the keypad which i need to clear up
basically why is there such a difference in the keypad lights in these 2 pics below??
is it coz its on power save mode in one and not in the other

The phone has a light censor. If it detects too much light, it turns off the keypad backlight automatically to save some battery life. If it's too dark, it automatically turns it on.

Please play with it in the store. There have been plenty of cases of people that didn't like the white version due to all sorts of light-related issues.

when the keypad is lit like that it looks fugly
