Funny you posted this.... i was JUUUUSSSTTT clicking "New Thread" to post Jon's video of this.

I'm about to watch it and see what I think. I wonder if it'll come to the US?

Gotcha. Honestly, that phone doesn't look like anything special to me what so ever. Reminds me of my super basic 8530 that I can't wait to get rid of. Lately, any RIM news has just left me kinda like, "Mehh..." I think the jazzy bells and whistles of the Evo 4g, Incredible, iPhone 4, and Droid X have over stimulated me - so when I see boring, everyday kinda stuff (anything related to RIM), I feel empty inside.

the guy in the video called the 8900 an 8500 over and over. not to mention, that was the worst hands on review ive ever seen. i wonder how much of a clue he really has.

I hope we can keep this baby EDGE and not 3G, it's one of the major things that keeps me with the Curve line.

You could just set the radio to 2G only if you're concerned about battery life…

true. this is one thing i used to do on my Bold 9000 all the time. i wish i could go back to my 8900. but im so used to 3G and the trackpad, i dont think i would go back. if they made the 8900 form factor with trackpad and 3G, ill trade in my 9700 for one.
