I did a search and I saw something about Gmail but not sure it pertains to me. Situation is (and I am new to BB so not sure how it all works specifically) is that I have a BIS account and am using it to check my personal POP3 email from my internet service provider in NY. I am noticing, today specifically, that in my inbox on my pc (webmail actually) I have a message at 12:11pm but I didn't get it until 12:28pm on my BB (I can tell by looking at the inbox on the BB and it shows the subject and a time). I got another mesage at 12:17pm on webmail but then 12:28pm on BB. Third message was at 12:25pm on webmaie and 12:28pm on BB. It appears to me that it is only checking it every so often. Is this right for a POP3 account vs IMAP or is something wrong?
Your carrier's BIS and specific email account determine if it is instant push or not. Gmail is one of the types of email accounts that causes problems. Search around the forum for more information. Here is something that should get you started:
