my gf has a blackjack 2 and she's able to play music and talk to me at the same time. wonder if that's possible with blackberries. another thing is, why can't blackberry users receive email and mms while on call? TMO is my carrier. not sure if the 2nd question applies to other carriers or not. just wanna see what's up.

First, your device is EDGE, no simultaneous voice and data. You can get SMS but not much else while on the phone.

Second, I suspect they disable the music while you're on a call as that would get especially annoying. I mean, music on the phone as you talk? I can't see wanting to do that.

Not to mention this is primarily a business device and it's hardly professional to answer a call with your music blaring.

AT&T is the ONLY provider that allows for simultanious voice and data. but it is only on 3G phones.... so the only Blackberry that's able to do it is the Bold
