I just bought a used BB curve and I have been reading a little on this site. I have read that there is a pin # on the phone. Will I need the original owners pin or can I erase his pin and make a new one for me? Or do I even need it at all?

Your PIN is used for BBM(blackberry messanger) and you can locate it by going to options>status>bam theres your PIN.

The PIN can't be changed, it belongs to the device. It's a unique identifier used to send data directly to your device, for instance, using PIN messages or Blackberry Messenger.

The pin is device specific, it will stay the same.
