Up in my area, Alltel is being bought out by AT&T and as a result my BB 8530 won't work. I just got it this past spring and am finally familiar with it after months of reading these boards! They say they are sending me out a comparable new phone this fall or I can choose one and pay the diff. I don't know what to do! What phone will they be sending me comparable to the 8530? Or which phone would you pick and why, if you had to? I have the opportunity to replace it with an iphone. What's all the hoopla about them? I am not a "heavy" cell user and don't know much about other smart phones so I am at a loss! Help please! TIA

They could be sending you the 8520 which is identical just GSM.

I'd spend a lil money and get the 9780 when it is released

or even the 9300 aka curve 3G

Thank you! Hmmmm... the 8520? I think I would rather upgrade than stay the same. I will be checking out the threads and reviews on those phones. One more question....I have several games/ Apps I have purchased and DL'd on my 8530. Am I going to loose them?
