Hi i have the bb curve 8520, and does t-mobile have the OS 5.0? I really want it. I got an OS 5.0 from bb website but t-mobile then doesn't cover updates that aren't from them. Does anyone know where to get it from t-mobile?

You can download other carrier's updated OS on your computer and install it on your phone using DM or AppLoader. I recommend using AppLoader because it's much easier.

Here's a full guide on doing that.

When i turn it on and off, depending on which carrier i donwload it from, will it say the name of the carrier i got it from instead of t-mobile which is the one i already have?

No, it will always say Tmobile when you start it up, doesn't matter what OS you have installed.

No you're just downloading the OS. OS stands for operating system which is the system that your phone is running. You're talking about the splash screen, you'll have the same splash screen no matter what OS you install and what carrier it is from.

There will be a sticky thread on this forum. Someone will always post the newest OS on this forum when it becomes available.
