Hi all, my first post! I've had the 8900 for about 3 months now and I've updated to newest official OS. I know I'm inpatient but anyone any clues when an official release will be available?

    Many thanks

Sure....it'll be released when RIM is finished testing it and feels confident in making it official.

I'm sure it's when it passes a provider's testing... .130 took a long time to leak after most knew it was out.

From my understanding the big hoopla over OS 5.0 is tabbed browsing, and Blackberry Messenger 5 (which you can run now). I'm running it on my 8900 with OS 4.6 and it works perfectly

Well I am new to this 8900 scene, been 8350i for the longest but this is really a very sweet phone. Actually they both are. And being on the t-mobile network isn't but a tiny bit faster than nextel's network! Still gotta use opera and bolt. Anyways, if 5.0's official release is as good as the leaked version has been sounding I can live with my present OS until they make it as best as they can! So hopefully RIM will have our patience pay off for once.
