Hi, hope someone can help? A new notification icon appeared on my screen this morning. I've attached an artists ##cough## impression.

I have looked through the manual and can't find a list of icons with explanations. Is there one?

if you can download capture it and took a screen shot i could probly make out what it is....But check and see if its a app you downloaded icon

I have the SAME exact icon that just came up....does anybody know what this is???

If so, that is App World telling you that one of your app's has an update that you can download.

You should have a message in your messages folder too

that is the icon....but the only application i have is facebook, and theres no update for it .....

It was a upgrade for BB world. Did the upgrade and icon is still there. No messages in any of my holders hidden or not. I can't seem to get rid of it. Any ideas?

yeah, i did the same thing....upgraded the app world, icon was still there.... i just did a battery pull and now its gone....try that and hopefully it will work for you too

Thanks to all, it appeared after the BB apps email. Now it makes sense. Removing battery worked. WHY??? Why are we forced to do that?

This also happened on my 9630 Tour... it seems RIM didn't code the notification correctly and it lingers even after reboot after successful upgrade and installation. A second battery pull resolved it.

This has been driving me crazy all day! I did the upgrade and when I noticed it was still there, I searched everything I had ever downloaded on my phone.
I didn't think I was the only one with this problem. Glad I checked here. Now for a battery pull

I had the same icon on my Tour. It appeared after I upgraded my app world. It drove me crazy all day long at work! I pulled the battery once and it was still there. It went away after the second time I pulled the battery. I don't know why it didn't work the first pull. But thankfully it is gone now.

I have four supposed updates, which are all installed and updated. Icon won't go though.
