i am trying to help someone add another email account to their BB. the address i'm trying to add is [email protected] it tells me that the address is invalid. are there any solutions or work arounds?
they are on BIS. i have tried setting it up from the handset, and online. both ways it gets rejected. i even tried setting it up on my own account. i'm pretty sure it doesn't like the edu extension. the email address is valid and it works just fine. it's issued from a local college.
yes. both phones are 8350i. i called support. they said the problem was not with the email address, but with the password. they told me to check with the college email administrator and see if there is a prefix for the password when trying to access the account externally. i'll call tomorrow..
i called the email admin at the college. the woman i spoke to was only slightly more helpful than my mother. she told me that their email was housed in google..??? she then told me to go to google.com/mobile and go that route..
none of this made any sense to me, so i'm going to call again later. i hope i can talk to someone else...what a pita
