boostberry workaround.... post 1
search for aim boost.... 9 links
ok when i "searched" for aim boost, the first 4 say you need to use beejive, just like post number 1 in the workarounds..... the 5th poster says she got it to work, why dont you PM her and ask her how.
and as for this....
i see you did not read the next post.....
here is what post 1 says in the workarounds.....
Text Messaging, SMS and Chat:
There are two options. One is Instango instango.com - Mobile Instant Messaging an all in one messenger and SMS client. And then there is Beejive Beejive - instant messaging anywhere. Just a IM client. I would use instango for this but it runs the battery down very quickly and Beejive seems to do a better job at keeping my battery life.
If you use a program called Beejive. It doesn't cost money to receive a text or SMS but it also has instant messaging which is free and easy to use. It will talk to Google Talk, AIM, MSN, Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo and Jabber clients. I chat on it all the time. Works great with wifi or not.
So what I did was I signed up for the instango service and got the email address they provide for free. I then used Beejive to sign into the instango jabber server. Then I set up the forwarding to the email address and when I get a text it pops right up to my Beejive IM. As for sending messages it doesn't. But I just go to Google Voice and send free Text messages from there
the 3 links you provided are NOT BOOST!!!!
the first says......
boost does not supply service books or BIS
second link.....
mike/telus is a service provider in canada
the third....
the OP (post number 1) is on nextel. i
i even searched all 3 links and none of them have to word boost in them
Thanks for all the help
I can now use AIM on boost.
Thanks again guys!
Wow
Look just cause you did not know how to do it you do not have to jump all over me. Most of the links had the work boost and AIM. Also a few of the people in those threads clearly said they had boost and AIM... so yes it must work.
Just so other people do know how to do it. I downloaded Instango. It installed easily. Then I was able to log on with out any problems. Then all you have to do as add AIM. Yahoo IM also worked well.
If you have any questions please PM me.
i did not mean to come off as "jumping all over you". i just wanted to state that the links you gave do not say boost in them at all, and i was tring to explain (simply) that they were all differnt then what you were asking for.
im sorry for sounding harsh.
i am glad you got it working though... happy boosting

I have BB 7520 running OS 4.1 and I have been trying for the past month to get the AOL AIM download version to upload on my device to use for SMS but no luck!
