Hello, I've had my 8310 for about a year and I'm still learning things about it. I'm operating the v4.5.0182 (platform OS.

Lately, I'm having issues with my message alerts. The alert sound for my incoming messages only works when I reboot my phone. Sometimes I have to go as far as pulling the battery to get the alert sound to work. Have had some problems with no sound at all when plugged into the charger which sucks since I use the alarm to get up in the morning.

I also have to pull the battery when the hourglass consistantly blinks (locked up or freezes while running an application).

I do not have alot of apps on my phone so there shouldn't be a memory issue.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I found having a lot of apps running will not be the the only thing to be wary of, you also need to keep your messages clean to make sure you are not using so much space and you can also use the task manager to see how many apps are running and you should close them.
At any given time I have 5 apps running in the background.
(Homescreen, Messages, Browser[And i keep this not on], Phone and Blackberry Messenger,) I have 8330 and it still lags once in a while.
i would suggest upgrading/ refreshing the OS because it seems like a wierd software issue.
