No matter what I try, I cannot get my curve to make any sound when I get a BES email (or gmail for that matter) I had a pearl till today and it worked fine on that device. I set it up on the pearl so i know the steps, I've read all the forum posts I could find, I can't get it to work. I am a 2 week new BB user and switched to the pearl after a few days to get a bigger keyboard. Can any of you help me? I hope I am being dumb.

*Correction* My gmail notification sound does work. Only BES is broken.

go to profiles, scroll to advanced, hit edit active profile, set sound for evrything from there. bear in mind theres different sounds for out of holster and in holster.

I had already tried that. Since I posted this, I got a hold of my IT guy and I wiped my device and reactivated BES. Set up my profile and cried tears of joy when it worked!!
