Anybody here????? We have someone with a Fatal Error message and Im not 100% sure how to help, but I'm trying. I have recommended using the Recover a Dead Blackberry thread.
but i have att and i dont live in austrailia or fiji i got a curve 8310
will this screw up my phone??
Most(95%) of the people on CB don't live in Austrailia or Fiji. All you have to do is delete the Vendor XML file and this will install to your device just fine.
Just update to the latest OS on my 8310 however i do not see where u can seperate your TXT msgs from all your msgs. I did see a section that the new OS had a seperate folder for SMS messages.. What am i missing?
Sorry if im bothering you with my dumbass questions but would installing this void my warranty or any benefit i get from att thanks im loving this site.
P.S. first I thought this site was weird but it is damn helpful thanks guyz
1st problem : installed the 4.5 os on my curve but it has busted it , it has crashed and its now not working, my phone is from 02 UK . HOW TO SOLVE IT.
2nd problem: Got 8310 , whenever i take photos and try to send them, my phone some how crashed and i loose all my messages and my call log. How to fix it?
No its ok. I was only joking.
I think I got it under control. I've been walking someone through the upgrade process for the past few hours and I finally got it working for her...ALL THROUGH IM
So we are waiting right now for it to upload. I will let you know if I am successful.
I've had issues with my BB since upgrading as well...battery wise.
I deleted Facebook and my battery is a little better, but it still drains faster then before.
I believe there was posted a response to why, but I will have to look for it.
Maybe CX will come in and advise.
Other then that I love the new upgrade.
One thing to check that was mentioned on another thread was making sure that apps are not running in the background. Hold down the alt key and hit the escape key and the running apps list will come up. I found that apps I though were closed were running in the background.
I would suggest looking at the recovery thread...doing it promptly and then making sure you download the CORRECT OS for your 8310...go to the RIM site...the link is: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...19656875EE557C
Save it to your computer (a place you will remember) and not your desktop.
Once downloaded, delete the vendor file, open that location where you saved the new OS file, double click the .exe file, run the BB Install Wizard...if DM doesnt open, open it and then connect your Berry.
