I apologize if this seems stupid. How can you tell what is latest OS. I am running on curve from verizon. Do you get email from verizon or rim?

The latest operating system for the Curve is, but Verizon has yet to release this, so the official operating system on the Verizon BlackBerry Curve is technically, which you have (and me too!) Believe me, when Verizon releases a new OS it will be all over CrackBerry.com LOL - it will be BIG NEWS!!

You do understand that you can install any of the other "official" and unofficial OSs for your device, right?

.131 from Sprint is a great one for Verizon customers. I had it for a long while.
Now I have the .160/.131 hybrid since .131 had a few problems.
All the Oss work, you just have to be willing to install one that is NOT official for Verizon. What are they waiting for anyway...

You're missing out on more files free and speed if you keep .77

BUT if you have no problems with it, then stay put. I had the speakerphone blast with .77 and couldn't stand it, so I had to upgrade.

I'm on verizon running .160/4.6/5.0 hybrid and its so much better than the .77. No speaker blast or chirping and faster.

i have Verizon, Ive used .160 and believe me it has issues big time. Saty away from .160 if your on Verizon. The biggest issue for me is how slow it is in general. Especially when sending texts messages. I just downloaded Sprints .131 and so far so good. I updated from .77 because of the speakerblast, I also wanted to be able to use a 16gb SD card (.77 software will only accept 8 GB), I use my blackberry @ work for music, and also when I'm on the go. And also its a more recent update for the Curve. So far no complaints (knock on wood). Lets hope it stays stable, I know some are talking about the .160/.131 hybrid, I havent tried it.
