Had to go back to .508, I was having a ton of issues. I think my pc had something to do with it, because I updated my wifes too and hers is fine.

It also seems that Facebook notifications are back on my home screen since upgrading to .601.

Seems like mixed reviews of this upgrade? Maybe I'll hang tight few more days.

I've got .337 now, biggest gripe is battery life. However, seems like too many other little things are not working with either .508 or .601 that are working on my .337.

Just upgraded a few days ago.

Seems exactly the same, except the pictures qualities are back to normal now instead of distorted. The trade off? Video player buttons are transparent/black spots. Seems fair to me for the trade off, but we should NOT have ANY issues whatsoever.

Another issue that bothers me is Twitter by RIM's small avatar icons. Can somebody confirm that avatars in the twitter app are TINY???

Just now updated from Verizon's 5.0.0.337 to this. Hope this fixes my battery problem. I have set ubertwitter and social scope to update less frequent and my battery still goes low quick.

Why do you have both UberTwitter and SocialScope updating at the same time? This is going to drain your battery. SocialScope can already take care of Twitter, so why not use that?

I use social scope for facebook only! I have that set to update every 30 mins and uber every 20. Reason i use social scope is because when i go to the facebook page from browser...i see from new to old. I like to see from old to new on ss.

Push and hold the "A" key or the Mute/Play media button... this will lock the keyboard. Press the Play/mute media button again to unlock.

.508 link didn't work, just updated to .601

thought the device was going to be backedup and restored, but it rebooted to a blank bb? ARG!

I'm restoring from an old bk to a few weeks back now. If the battery gets more life than .337, it will be worth the missing data.

Yes this works and what im going to do! Thanks.

Tried an app for locking your phone, but it runs in the background and uses battery. So i passed on that!

So I was thinking about updating my OS, right now I'm running .459 (I think those are the proper numbers.) What are some of the changes from the previous OS?

Im running .601. It has 3G up in the corner that looks nice! Not many major visual changes, just fix to battery and bug problems.

Is this keylock similar to the one on version .459 where you can see all your info and stuff on screen? Or is similar to the .508 version were the screen blacks out and causes me to downgrade back to .459?

If you are running the beta version of BBM from the BlackBerry Beta Zone, it doesn't seem to play nice with when updating the OS. Mine sticks at "Restore Device Data" when restoring "Database: BBGroups" . I finally killed it and restored from a backup. Tried on another device and it worked ok. Weird.

I'm with you. I'm thinking its not worth the trouble of upgrading. Just carry extra charged batteries. Serves 2 purposes. You get a fresh charged battery(around 4pm when its completely dead), and you get a quickpull fresh boot up! On sprint .459

I upgraded to .601 and think it was painless.

I get better battery and a faster device, which includes browsing. I've noticed a considerable difference in browsing, for sure...
