I did use google and I cannot find the 4.5.0.56 download, only the beta 4.5.0.77 download.
It would be very helpful if someone could just set up a download and set up a link for the "official" RIM BB download of the 8330. TIA. I really don't understand why RIM does not post this download esp. as it fixes the fact that you can finally see HTML in email. Thanks and I really appreciate it.

This is a very frustrating process. I downloaded DM 4.6 with a very slow 17 kbytes/sec from the BB server only to get an error message that it wasn't recognized as a 32-bit file. So I am downloading again at this time 26 kbytes/sec. Can't BB afford to have better download service?
I tried to install the downloaded 4.5.0.66 software and the BB DM 4.3 that I'm running doesn't recognize the newer software. What should I do? I'm totally confused and I've been following the recommended 101 Tutorial for OS update.
    TIA

Just info got new 8320 my batt does not last more than 16 hours ? It been charge properly at the start pls help
Are you saying it only last 16 hours in standby mode? Or after 16 hours of use? I have tested the battery on my 8330 and get the rated 4.5 hours of talk time, and typically I get 20-24 hours of use doing text, email, visiting web pages, using viigo. That's 6-8 hours each day for 3 days. I've also estimated that I could get 6-8 hours of music or video (music may very well get even more time). But I don't use my BB for that so I can't say for sure.

    Hi
I just want to be sure i have the steps right...

I already backed up my BB on my 4.3 dm
I also backed up my 3rd party software and made a copy of the folder in a easy place to find.

Now if I want to upgrade my OS, I need to find the device OS of 4.5? and when I do I wipe my memeory clean and install the 4.5 thru the apploader?

can the desktop manager be 4.3 when the device is 4.5?

or do I have to have 4.5 on both?
also I need to delete the file from my carrier b4 i upgrade correct?

I can find the desktop 4.5 at bb lounge but I cant find the OS for the phone all the links are invalid. I'm sorry for being another new person with so many questions but man you would think if I could put a laptop together this bb would be a walk in the park..

Go to your E-mail Settings and Edit the settings for the offending account. At the bottom of the screen there is a new (I think) option: "Deleted items: Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device. Yes/No." Hopefully this will work correctly.
Thank for the post, I had the same problem. On the curve, when n an email box, I had to go options, email reconciliation, and then change "delete on" to "prompt." You can also set it to always delete from the handheld and mailbox if you want.

I'm running OS 4.5.0.77(101) now on Verizon Curve. Is there a newer OS out now? And what exactly is the (101) that I see in that number?

    Max, welcome to Crackberry!

What an odd thread to be posting this question in...

You have the latest official OS for your device on Verizon. To be sure, there are higher versions of OS 4.5 out there that have been released on other carriers.

I don't know what the 101 after the version number means.
