Are u sur the "M" stands for Multilanguage and the "E" stands for english

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
Yes I am sure, "m" as in 8330m is different than "e" as in 8330e for ESN. OS for Multi-language will look like 8330AMEA xxxxxxxx . OS Multi-Language for 8330m will look like 8330mAMEAxxxxxxxxxxxx. OS for 8330e will not have the lower case "m" after 8330.

Just done installing. One of the fastest, smoothest OS updates ever. No problems whatsoever.
agreed! this is the quickest version I've seen to date, and I've installed every version along the way!

this will stay as long as future problems don't arise!!!

Delete the OS file from your PC using Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs. Redownload/install the OS on your computer and try again. Sometimes you get a bad download.

Makes sense, I had an issue twice downloading from the BB site, then had to dload it from the megashare site that was posted. Thanks.

The later it gets the harder it's going to be to download.

Still getting the error. It's gets to the point where it saying "Connecting to device ram" and it does not complete. It makes the noise as if the BB is being connected and disconnected a couple of times and then I get the error... argh!

When you the OS is snappier is it snappier than .138? I'm just contemplating if it is worth it yet.

Has anyone else had to download new
"device updater software" before being able to get this from the blackberry site? It would not let me dnld the o/s until I did. (I tried to skip it, but no go). Just wondering if that might have something to do with those who have had trouble? Or maybe it was a telus only thing?

Yeah, the first time you do the web based upgrade you have to download/install the loader.

I've had it running since about 2:30pm and I have had no RF issues, It actually allowed me to use gps on the alltel network (couldn't get gps to work with .138 even).

update went great. os seems a little faster than .138 and file free memory went up a little bit. call timer is back too thats kind of nice. i would reccomend this update if you are running .138 (so far. i have only had it for about an hour though )

anyone else having the issue with the backlight delay? It's not consistent but when it does happen, it takes roughly 1-2 secs for it to come on.

I have been running it since early this morning and loving it, seems quicker & solved the few little issues I was having. The only difference is that on one email account I can only delete them on the device & another I can still delete them from the device & server. I have read about others having this issue but have not seen if there is a fix for it? Is there one or is that just life now? Either way, me likey!

Woody, from messages, go to Menu, Options, Email Reconciliation, select your email acct, set Delete On to Prompt. Repeat for all email accts.

I had to do this for two out of three email accts following the upgrade to .160

Dang, still no backlight lag fix. Happy to see it's running a little snappier, thought it was my theme but it was just .138. Overall, it's worth it. I'd say go ahead an update.
