I am having an issue with delayed e-mails from BES. It does not happen frequently, but when it does; I get several e-mails at once. These e-mails can be up to 45 minutes late.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm having major issues. I upgraded from whatever the previous version was to the 160. I think I've had to do a battery pull at least every other day and maybe more than once a day on occasion. This is usually because the phone apps have locked up or just quit working. The phone is slow as molasses. I'm half tempted to wipe it but I have a feeling that's not going to help. Anyone else having major problems like this? I've read other posts where people didn't have any problems at all and had actually experienced better performance. If they don't come out with a new version soon I'm going to have to revert a couple os's back or drive over it with my car!
hamc00, you obviously didn't read much about this OS before installing it, or you would have seen that this OS $ucks for Verizon users.
Try this hybrid. You will be making some changes to the .160 OS files already on your computer from this install, then reloading it onto your BB:

Im having the same exact problems. I am getting the hourglass i swear every 5 minutes all the time for no reason. and it lags like H3|| its the worst beta I have ever installed!!!
.160 isn't a beta.
Did you wipe before you loaded it?
A wipe and clean install might help.
This OS isn't for everyone, you could also look into one of the hybrids.

I'm getting this squelch too. seems random, and is very annoying.
And it has been mentioned over and over that this is a known issue with this OS for Verizon customers.
Load this hybrid to get rid of the chirp/squelch problem:

For a lot of positive comments on this OS, read this thread:

Or, downgrade back to 4.5.0.131
Install went well for me, but I don't have Verizon as a carrier either. I'm hoping my gps will finally work - it never did for .127 for me.
I have a phone from alltel, but ofcourse its now on verizon service, and i havent had any problems with the .160 OS. Maybe i am lucky. i dont know hehe.
I think there was something wrong with the .127 build as far as GPS support, because people on Alltel said their GPS didn't work on .127 as well.
I have noticed since the .160 update that the backlight is slow using the red off button but normal if using the "space" button.
I got my curve in Feb 09. I absolutley loved it until about a week ago. It started with poor reception, then screen began to freeze up, then I went to check an MMS message and the phone turned itself off. I have been continuously taking the battery out to reset. Helps for a bit but today I no longer can get incoming phone calls. The phone doesn't even ring, just shows how many missed calls I have. Went to talk to Alltel three times about all this. They told me today to download the new software. I already had. Now they say that they are going to send me a replacement phone. Who knows how long that is going to take or if it will fix the problem. There are several people in my area having the same problems. A new phone has been only a temporary solution. Any ideas?
The fact that there are several of you in the area with similar problems might mean that it is network related rather than a hardware/software problem.

I'm Alltel, one is Verizon and I'm not sure about the third. The Alltel reps knew about the problem. They just don't seem to know what to do/fix the problems.
I'm with Sprint and upgraded to 160 last night. Thus far I haven't had issues. Has anybody noticed anything new in this OS?

Since this firmware upgrade I've noticed that my BB goes through a LOT of 'rolling blackouts' (Reboots) UGH! It seems connected to my media card... However, this is even -RIGHT AFTER- I issue a format of my card... So, a BLANK media card is causing my phone to reboot as well as a 'in use' card.
Kinda pissing me off... Sometimes it's fine for days upon days... Others... It boots and within 60 seconds of finishing booting... It crashes again. GRR!
You could try uninstalling .160 from your PC and redownload/install it then wipe your BB with JL Cmder and do a clean install.

You may have got a bad download or just a bad install.
If that doesn't work you should try .131 or one of the hybrids.

Total noob question:
My OS is v4.5.0.77 and it works fine. Should I upgrade to this new OS if I have no problems with the OS that was loaded on my bb when I got it.
