For install instruction to load any carrier 8310 OS on your BB:

1. Download desired OS to your PC
2. Install/run OS to PC
3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

So far, I don't see any changes, although my free memory has jumped up by 6MB.

yeah i still see no changes as opposed to my antique OS i was running.

but i have been on a theme downloading frenzy, so much so that my bb has started steaming, and im getting dizzy, and i think i may be stuck in some sort of time/space continuum where im either an hour ahead or late.. not sure.

But im excited!

So I dwnloaded it to my phone and my phone worked fine. Well just recently (yesterday actually).. I had to get my phone replaced and so I am wondering how to get that software back or was this some weird figment of my imagination. Cause I can't find it anywhere.

It was probably version 4.7 for Desktop Manager, there is no such thing as 4.7 for the Curve.

Trouble Free upgrade here. I really don't see a difference between this OS and .110. I guess it's all behind the scenes.

I attempted to install v4.5.0.163 and got a fail to install with my screen showing 507 and a circle with a line through it over a box with a circle, square and triangle in it.

My phone isn't recognized to reinstall the old OS or backup. What to do?
