Hi everyone. We have a new 8310 from AT&T - our first BlackBerry. Currently, we're using it as ... a phone. And my three year old likes to take pictures with it.

I know it can do all kinds of wonderful things, but what? How?

The salesperson said it includes a GPS, but I couldn't figure it out. A kiosk clerk said that GPS was $10 a month, but that seems nuts to me. The GPS is the car, and our handheld GPS you just buy once, not pay a monthly fee. I hate monthly fees.

Point this newbie in the right place. Thanks for any and all help!

Best thing to do is use the search feature of this forum. Search BlackBerry 101. You will be up and running in no time..

One thing not in the 101 tutorial is blackberry's are not for children..

    Have a great day

The gps that the sales person was talking about is a app that at&t provides for a monthly fee. If you have a gps in the car why would you want it on you're phone? You can download google maps that gives you directions. Not exactly gps but its free.
