I don't know why I am having trouble wrapping my mind around this.
I just got a new computer and need to install blackberry desktop on it. I have recently updated the bb 8330 to vzw 4.5.0.77. Do I have to go to blackberry.com and download the coresponding version of desktop mgr or will the newest do?

i would recomend v4.6 dm with no media manager

On your new computer you can install.

Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.6

And then Install your OS on your new computer so it reads you blackberry and allows new applications to be installed.

Also you can copy over using thumb drive or cd all of you backups and then place them on your new PC.
