Well I am done with T-Mobile and my MDA and ordered my Blackberry Curve 8330 from Sprint, which should be here this week. I have never used a Blackberry before, so I am definitely a n00b right now. I wanted to ask a couple questions here if you all don't mind.

1: I see posts about "unlocking my Blackberry." What exactly does unlocking the Blackberry do? What are the pros and cons of doing this? If I were to do this at some point, will it still work on my Sprint account?

2: If I wanted to add applications/games/software to my 8330, do I have to run programs specifically made for the 8330, or am I able to run software from different Blackberry phone models with no problem on the 8330?

3: As a new Blackberry 8330 user, is their anything that I must do right away or add to my phone right away that will make my Blackberry experience just that much better or sweeter (Software or game recommendations)?

I appreciate the advice/suggestions/help as well as your time,
    Bowersdmstech

    1. Unlocking is irrelevant to CDMA networks since they do not have SIM cards. This is common with GSM networks where people have the SIM lock removed so they can insert a SIM card from a different GSM carrier, such as when they are traveling in a different country.

    2. You should pay attention and install software that is for the 8330 and version of the OS installed on your device.

    1. As already noted this is not an issue with your Sprint phone.

    2. Here on Crackberry (or Handango or others) you simply indicate the phone you are using (Curve 8330) and the software you are looking for will match your phone, as a general rule,

    3. Blackberry 101 can't be stressed enough. It will give you a great introduction into many of the things you need to know right from the start. Try this... http://crackberry.com/crack-team/cra...blackberry-101 and you'll graduate *** laude very soon!
