    Hi guys,
I'm a new blackberry user- I'm still trying to figure everything out -- I just switched from a Treo 755p to Sprint's Blackberry Curve.

So, I have some questions -- probably with grossly obvious answers -- and am wondering if anyone can help me.

1.) Can anybody explain to me how "push" email works? I set up my gmail and my sprint.blackberry.net e-mail addresses which seem to use the default messaging software. Is that "push" email?

2.) Is there any third-party software to enable MMS/Picture mail/etc.?

3.) I haven't added many additional applications (only AIM). My battery is lasting a ridiculously short amount of time -- (i.e., last night we went to dinner for a few hours; my phone was left on the charger but was more than half-way depleted when I came back). I'm wondering if how my email is configured (maybe I screwed up) or if leaving AIM on were really able to deplete my battery that much.

I guess that's it for now. Sorry to be such a "newb." Thanks for your help!

Answer for #2:: Sprint does not have MMS 'yet'. Everyone is assuming the next OS update will fix or have it included.
Right now you can only send it via email attachment.
