    Hi! I've had my BB for about 3 hours now. I love it but can't connect to the internet. I've already registered on my BIS and I made sure that my wireless network connection is on, but my phone still won't connect. Has anyone else had this problem in the set up stage?

    Have you registered the Host Routing Table?

    Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, Menu, Register Now. You should get a confirmation email.

    Word is that BIS is down right now. (There has been some discussion about it in a few previous threads.) So that's most likely the problem. :-)

    There have definitely been some BIS outages, it may be some time to get it all squared away.

    Hopefully that's all it is and nothing more serios. I would check with your carrier to make sure that it is a network problem just to be on the safe side.

    My emails have been spotty. Had to reconfirm one of my accounts cuz it stopped sending altogether even when the others were still going.

    Got it! Had to take the battery out so that it could reboot and update. After that the phone connected right away.

    Wwell, I never said that 'I' got it. Let me rephrase my last post:

    My completely brilliant, awesome boyfriend figured out that I needed to pull the battery in order to connect.
