I inserted my memory card in my curve and then went to "options," "memory card" and then it says that the memory card cannot be read and verify that the memory card is formatted. I then try to format the card and it says "media card format failed" The card is inserted correctly so I am not sure what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated.

None is correct. Maybe try a battery pull if see if your media card is recognized after that.

Your fine there. I'm out of ideas. Usually the problem lies somewhere in the middle but it all seemed ok. Maybe somebody else who has had this issue can advise.

See if you can plug the memory card into your pc with the provided adaoter and see if you can read it on your pc? That will let you know if the vard is bad or not.

Take out the battery, wait a few minutes. Reinstall the battery. It should now recognize the media card. You may need to reformat again on the blackberry. Most times you don't. But it will let you reformat the card this time. See if that helps.

If you have a card reader (most micros come with one) you can check to make sure it is usable. I had a problem like this once...I ended up formatting it in another device and then it formatted just fine in my Curve...
