Wow...lol.. I searched and didn't see this thread... I just noticed that it was up for download myself after someone else pointed it out, and posted a new thread in the Sprint forum...

    Better late than never right?....

I'm done for now..I saved my address book only because of google sync. That is the most important thing. The rest of this is just a bunch of crap by Sprint...what a freaking joke. They should have said they would clear out my entire phone and apps..ill try and restore but ill probably just start from scratch..I wonder f I still need the buzz me app for vibration..god all those little tweaks that i did I will miss!!!!!
BTW, this isn't a Sprint release...it's a RIM release thru Sprint. Don't blame it on Sprint. I've never had an issue doing an upgrade...everything is backed up for me, including all of my apps, during the upgrade process. The upgrade process for me has always been a back up first, then it wipes my apps, installs new OS, reinstalls apps & contacts. On step 11 or 12 right now of this update in fact.

I did the update last night..all my apps, text msg, emails, settings restored last night. The only thing it side that it like 5 appts didnt restore back, but i think its because it was appt that wasnt linked to my blackberry, they were old appts.

But I am trying to figure whats the official report of what the upgrade did?

Here's what it does (from the Inside Sprint Now link from JSalazar77).

    BlackBerry 8330, 8130, 8830 Maintenance Release 10/14 ę Inside Sprint Now

"The new software version is 4.5.0.175 bundle 295.
The BlackBerry 8330, 8130, and 8830 MR fixes the following issues.

    Display:
If the customer received a new email or SMS text message, the Home screen might not have displayed an indication of a new message received.

    Wireless Network:
In some cases, the signal strength indicator (RSSI) might have fluctuated randomly and the customerís device might have appeared to have a strong connection to the wireless network, followed by a weaker connection.

    Messaging:
Previously, if the customerís SMS delivery option was set to immediate, their device might not have sent the SMS message immediately as expected
If the customerís were sent multiple MMS messages, they might not have received all of the MMS messages.

    Phone and Voice Dialing:
If the customer received a phone call there might have been a delay in audio routing between the time they answered the call to when the recipient heard their voice.

Hold tight for the update next week, and post your experiences / thoughts when it arrivesÖ"

    Running .175
I have all contacts, past e-mails, chat/call logs and all apps still running after up-grade.
Seems to connect to internet quicker and when call comes in my jingle turns on faster.
It use to show incoming call and wait 2 seconds before.

I just added wording to my post...meant to say he shouldn't blame it on Sprint, that it's a RIM release thru Sprint.

I just did the update and went smoothly.

Got ya, Im going to do it later when I get home from work.

Nice to know that if I need my phone serviced, I wont have to downgrade anymore!

Did you do a wipe (With JL_CMDR) or did you install over .169?

I've never wiped...I just install right over the old. You won't be disappointed in the upgrade!

Sounds like service books are missing. If all else fails call customer service and they will push them down to you.

There's a Desktop Manager for Mac now. Can't be done OTA, only via computer.

The only apps I lost were ones I forgot to move into the new OS folder..games ported from the 8350i or whatever. If you follow normal backup procedures there should be no issues with restoring everything automatically.

and the browser is amazing now. It feels as fast as my old HTC pocket PC's for web browsing now. Sprint made it worth the wait for their official build, this destroys 4.5.0.169

hey I've got a question...I've got .169 using the apploader method and deleting the vendor xml....can I just upgrade to .175 the same way? I assume you can. Since it's sprint....you don't have to delete the vendor xml., do you?

I used the loader.exe, and yeah I left the vendor.xml file alone this time. Worked like a charm.
