Tried .175 again for about two weeks now and missed a couple of calls, phone never rang and I was in an area will good coverage one time and the second time I was in my home office with the Sprint Airave box and five bars. I liked the browser speed of .175 too. I just can’t live with ringer issues and missed calls, back to Cellular South .169 for me, until a better OS comes out.
I mostly bbm and sms...it can wait. Lol. its had to miss a call since I'm using berrybuzz and disco led. I use the browser all day long, so downgrading is a negative for me.

I was at a Sprint store for a sound problem --lost ringers -- and the tech acknowledged that it was an issue with 175 and that Blackberry had not yet agreed that it was a problem. Offered to swap out my phone for one that hadn't been updated to 175

You could always downgrade back to .131 yourself.

You guys having issues with ringtones/profile crashes..do you use custom ringtones?
My profile is basically left standard minus some minor tweaks (volume, amount of vibrations, etc) and I've only had the audio notifications stop working after going in and making a lot of changes. It seems weird to me that you all are experiencing this so frequently and I've only had it happen twice since updating to 175.
I too had the problem of the ringtones/notifications stop working. But I have the 8330, non-m version. I've posted the fix for my phone's version here. However, I do not know if those COD files are the same for the 8330m version. I've uploaded the same files from the 8330m .131 package in that thread, but I cannot guarantee its the solution -- though I'm pretty confident it is.
.131 is the newest OS that did not have the "profile crash" problem. The name is a misnomer since its actually a media player problem.

This will fix your problem. Good luck.
Hey - I looked at your instructions and they look simple enough. I was wondering it that could be done, thanks for posting the fix. I have the m and will give it a shot next weekend when I'm not too worried about experimenting with my phone. Question - why did you choose the .131 media files and not the .169 files?
I received an icon on my home page that let me know about the new os 4.5.0.175. I downloaded the upgrade and then it asked me if I wanted to do the upgrade "now" or "schedule" the upgrade. I scheduled the upgrade to happen while I was sleeping because it said that I would not be able to use my phone for up to 2 hrs.
The upgrade was successful and all of my info was still there; apps, themes, appts, contacts.
I downloaded ota, lost my memory card data but phone data and apps were fine, memory card showed to be corrupt and had to be reformatted. Tried everything to get pics off but had no choice but to reformat and lost it all.
Overall didn't really notice anything different.
I have had.169 since it first came out and it worked flawlessly, but recently past few weeks it will have errors and hard boot at least 6x a day during idle, texting, phone calls, and during other apps too...wtf?
Has anybody been having issues with their .169 lately too??????
My 175 is rebooting once a day or so. I formatted my microSD card and re-added the files last night. We'll see if that helps. If not I'll reload the OS Sunday night.
I updated to .175 shortly after I got this phone. No loss of any data. It has begun to (occasionally) hard boot while plugged into the usb or charger if I use google talk or the phone while plugged in.

Everytime I try to play music on my phone, if my phone has been on for over 2 hours, it says device media is busy.
I have to soft reset my phone in order to listen to music... ALL THE TIME!
And it drains my battery
and has the worst memory leak ever!!!
4.5.0.169 also sucks.
!!! CAN ANYONE FIND ME THE LINK TO 4.5.0.131
by far, the most stable.
The problem has been resolved with a simple fix as posted by me earlier in this thread. Read people, read. It takes less than 10 minutes start to finish to permanently fix the problem. Much quicker than doing a whole OS Downgrade.
uninstall 175 from your PC, reinstall 169 if it isn't on there any longer. Run the loader.exe like you normally would and it'll offer downgrades for messenger, maps, OS files, etc. Its pretty easy. I reverted back to 169 and all of my issues disappeared.
