also it wont let me setup my email account. does anyone know what a activation server address is?
Activation servers are for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Only used in corporate networks where the BB's are all centrally managed- read: restricted. To set up your e-mail, it's likely done on your carrier's web site or you may have a link for "Blackberry E-mail Setup" in your web browser.
