Hi, I recently got a curve 8900 and I have some questions regarding applications and updates:

    1. In the options>advanced>applications list, how come some apps are in bold letters?
    2. Do the apps check for updates automatically or do I have to manually update them? (if manually, then do I just update through app world?)

    Thanks for your help!

Some of them will automatically ask if you want to update. Others you'll just have to figure it out haha

There was a recent post about the bolded applications on the crackberry blog. Basically a bolded application indicates that the user has modified permissions for that application. To modify permission, highlight the application in the list and click the menu button > edit permissions.
