So I have my phone out next to me on computer and just went to send a text message to a friend and noticed that it switched over to "initialization failed" where it should say t-mobile. What the heck? It was working fine 15 minutes ago. Can anyone help me? I already reset it and it still came up.

Reset it what way? Battery pull?

yes, battery pull. just took the sim card out too.

So under the clock it just says Initializing? I haven't heard of anything like that so I'm trying to understand.

I just googled "initialization failed on blackberry" and it seems it could be tmo or my sim card. Will go to my local store tomorrow before school and talk to someone.

Yeah I was gonna say, the device sounds like it's alright, and more likely a network issue...

Have you tried looking in the forum for tmobile and see if anyone else has experienced this.
