u have a memory issue. welcome to crackberry first of all!!!! your gonna love it.

Buy a memory card. Read the sticky's and check in the Blackberry Tips, Tricks and FAQ's in the general discussion forum.

try not to save big pics to your berry wo having ur memory card also

your memory is low and your berry is kicking in something that is called "memory cleanup" It is trying to stay afloat, just out of curiosity how much free memory does your phone say you have check it in options->status Also I would recommend getting a memory card for your berry, it is a must have. Also try this in your messages folder, get to your menu and then go to options, from there go into your general options and all the way at the bottom of that list will say you can set how long to save your messages
