I'm thinking of replacing my 8320 with a new 8900. With prices on ebay ranging from 270 to 320 dollars for a new unlocked one I'm not sure what the "right" price for an 8900 should be. Keep in mind that I live in Norway and have to pay for shipping too (20 or so USD).

In Bahrain, an unlocked new Curve 8900 costs 400 Dollars now.

I bought mine for $ 475 in January

Those are some pretty good prices if they're brand new.

With bb os 6 coming out its highly unlikely that anything in the 8000 range will support it, **** most in the 9000 series won't either.

This means that the "new" 8900 you've been looking at with be outdated almost as fast as you can get one.

Nows seriously not the time to do any upgrading. I'd just hold off a little while yet, I promise it'll pay of in the long run

Dang, I didn't know they were going for that much .. I bought mine mint condition off of Craig's List back in February for 160 bucks .. box, wires, everything and the phone was flawless. If you really do some hunting around you can find a good deal, I'm sure.

that is too high. the 8900 became outdated when the 9700 was released, just like the 9700 will be outdated when the 9800 is released. Personally, I wouldnt pay over $200 for a brand new 8900 with original box, papers and acc.

I would not recommend you to get used 8900 at all, try search little more about Bold 9650, 9700 or 9800 is right path for you to get update phone than buy outdated phone is not good investment, 8900 don't have true 5.0 OS anywhere even no-no for new 6.0 OS around the corner, right now 8900 is hit the wall pretty much.

I am still stuck with 8900 till April 2011

Put away $25 a week, and you can buy a new BB with no contract in no time flat. Well, okay, six months.

The 8900 is trash compared to the 9700. Not that I'll upgrade to get a 9700. The 9800 is consumerist fluff. We'll see what it does in a couple months. Clumsy early adopters will no doubt break it to pieces in short order.

I'm selling mine for $100-$150 once my 9700 comes in the mail. Even though its outdated, a lot of people don't care to keep up with the latest tech that comes out. I still know a handful of people with the 8320.
