I keep checking background applications and close them. I get one day of battery with things I do. Though I can charge every night, it will be insufficient during travelling or a one day train journey.
I am thinking of getting an extra battery but if what I am getting is much less than normal, then I will try something with the existing one.
before I upgraded yesterday to 6.0.0.534 the battery lastest about 24-30 hours with moderate use, I travel quite a bit and always make sure I have my USB cable for charging overnight in my hotel..
However, I upgraded yesterday and went to bed with 80% battery, phone was turned OFF, this morning battery is totally drained, won't even boot... I am trying to find out if this is a software bug... no luck yet..
After kinda heavy use during the day - phone unplugged at 6 am, lot of IMs (using Numbuzz and Skype and most time running in the background), usually near hour talk time - some time more, half an hour+ listening music, emails - 30+ at least (not on BIS yet, using third party solutions), 3G on all the time, WIFI on all the time - no matter connected to WIFI network or not, in the end of the day - ~22 pm or even later, in worst case I have 30% left.
In case it is not a busy day for the phone, it happens, in the evening have 60%+ battery left.
Personally I do consider this as a good battery life, taking into the account the capacity of the battery on 9300, and that used to charge my phone every night.
I heard that facebook chat drains battery like ****... try to uninstall it and see the results (i'm working in phone shop and we get loads of complains about facebook chat)

i have the same problem, my batter only lasts about 6-7 hours..its so annoying
Not sure but since I installed OS6 it seems to be lasting longer than it used to. I only have the stock battery but I haven't charged it since early yesterday afternoon and I am still at 75%

Well, I rarely get voice calls (I get so few that I didn't bother getting caller ID lol.) I really only use it for Facebook (I got OS6 and Facebook 2.0 with chat built in) and SMS. The only apps I really have running would be the Facebook app and my weather app.. oh and BBM occasionally. I don't know if the fact that it's only two weeks old helps or not.

I have to charge my battery 2 to 3 times a day and do not consider my usage to be extreme. This is the worst battery I have ever had on a blackberry. I have only had my phone since Christmas and am actually taking it in to Sprint tomorrow as my phone is possessed bad. When typing a text or bbm message the cursor will bounce all over the screen by itself.
I get at least 2 days that's hitting 3%-that's if I don't heavy use of BBM.web use or apps..if I do WOW ...don't ever leave home without the charger...I have it upon charge 2-3 times than a day...Yes 9330 battery is awful...when the phone is in to much use form...

that is awesome battery life... you have the same 1150 battery that came with the phone?
what will be better? getting the same battery as a spare (cheap) + an external charger or those seidio batteries (will easily last a long train journey)?
I'm on OS 5.0.0.1030 and my battery last about 36 hours on a single charge.. But I normally plug it up every night jus to have a fresh battery every morning when I wake up.. I would say I have pretty good battery life on my 9330

Since I've updated to .522 for Sprint...I have noticed that I get less than 8 hrs with normal use (a few calls lasting no longer than 5-10 minutes, texting, and a few emails.
Has anyone else seen this? I used to get a full 12+ hrs out of it before.
