I had an 8320, so I opened my Desktop manager, plugged both phones into USB ports and easily switched everything over.

you could have done this with a non-BlackBerry phone.. saved yourself those long, long hours...

It took me an hour and a half. To reinstall all my apps and transfer all data from my 8320 to my new 8900 using DM.

It took me about 20 minutes getting my OS prepped, I knew all the apps I wanted and how I wanted to arrange/organize my phone. In total about an hour. I've gone through 5 OS installs that's been the bulk of my time spend setting it up.

Took me about 2 hours...I had to manually input my contacts as my sidekick had a broken USB port and thus I couldn't just transfer them over.

I also had to install all the apps and delete things I didn't like.

I don't think meant just contacts and stuff. I think he meant ringtones, wallpaper, notifications and all the fun stuff too! It took me hours to and I was coming from a bb. I found a bunch of great sounds and pics to use. Now my 8900 is almost perfect, I just need a good today theme.

I've had a very hard time because of problems with my email and some trouble getting the wifi setup. So it took me much longer then I thought it would. Now that it's functional I love the phone.
