How do I find out how many texts I have in my inbox without having to count then one by one?

I don't have any unread, but if you open your Messages icon and click the letter "U" it will show you your unread messages... I don't know if that will give you a count.

I just checked mine... and if you are talking about the Messages database... that is total, not unread.

That database is only the size of SMS messages in size, memory format. Not the total number of messages. It's presented in kb form, so a large text could take up a few kb, whereas a small one takes little memory. It isn't a good way to tell how many messages you have.
Unless you average out SMS sizes and estimate from using the total size.

You're probably not reading it right. It'll say eg 124/51.6K meaning you have 124 messages which add to 51.6K in size.

Hmm, tried a search on received SMS only, but can't get the actual count. That is no good...
