Hello, my wife and I just got blackberry 8330's. I have not bought any micro sd cards yet. How do I check and see how much physical memory is available? I have installed a few apps and was wanting to see how much mem I have left.

    Thank you

Options / Status. File Free is the amount of available memory.

Press Menu / Database sizes to view your saved data.

Your 8330 should have about 30+ Mb file free. That is plenty for normal operations.

Easy way, Left Alt+ Left Cap Lock + "H" all at the same time.

Thanks everyone for the quick help.

I'm new to the blackberry so I have a lot to still learn lol.

Oh another question. When I get a micro sd card, do I save my downloaded apps to it and install them on the card? How does that work?

    Thank you

You can put them on the SD card. The bad news is that they cannot be run at all from there. Applications must on the device.

The micro sd cards are for media only. Not for apps sorry.

Unless you decide to look at Aerize Card Loader.. but you gotta pay for it.

Even with Aerize Card Loader, you still need to load the app to your device memory to run it.

Exactly, so once again there is not an option to do this as Aerize only allows you to store them on your sd card. And if I remember correctly Aerize has its own memory footprint itself. So it's not like you are really gaining much...
