There are times, not every time where my 8330 does not see my 2GB Micro sd card. It IS in place, clamped down with the metal. Why does it sometimes turn on and cant detect an SD card? Why cant the 8330 be like the friggin curve, and slide it in.

The 8330 is a Curve?
Sounds to me like your SD card reader in your phone is going south. SD cards rarely fail because there is little in them to fail. Most likely it is your reader.
I've had plenty of those cards fail for no good reason. They are flaky and die easily. Your best bet is on a day when your Berry is able to read the card, ensure that mass storage mode is enabled, plug it into your computer, copy everything over to the computer, unplug from computer, go into Options (wrench icon)>Memory>Menu key>Format. After this is complete, plug your Berry back into your computer and copy all your stuff back to the card. If this fails, try another card.
