Phone powers up and dials, but people at the other end hear nothing but loud static. Replaced the microphone, but still the same problem.

What is the OS on the phone? options>about or hit alt -shift - h and post the app version

funny, i've been having that problem too. but it's only for a second when i pick up a call.
i have the same problem but i hear static how can i fix that?
There is another post of a person experiencing the static on his end. He finally cured it by plugging in and unplugging his headphones.
