Question 1: I am having trouble with the earphone jack. My first Berry went a year before the jack conked out, now my new one went 2 weeks. Is this a typical thing? I am very easy on this thing. Any ideas, hints would be appreciated.

Question 2: Sprint is my provider, how does the Sprint Navigator get updated. Just went to Chicago over the weekend and the navigator told me where a number of places "used to be", but weren't there anymore. Is there a manual update, do I have to pay extra, is there a better navigator?

1: can you be more specific? My gf's headphone jack "went out" with an auxillary cable though mine seems to work fine with it. Sometimes you just need to maneuver the wire. If you cannot get it to work it could be considered a manufacturer defect and can be returned within the 30 day trial period.

2: I have noticed the same with my sprintnav and all I can say is you need to pay for an updated app or wait for a software update. I usually google the location and enter the address into navigator via copy/paste. This seems to work for me.

When the earphones are plugged in, the sound quits coming through the earphones and comes through on the speaker. I have tweeked the jack and cleaned it as well but no help.

I take it Sprint provides the update. Good hint on the Google, cut n paste. I'll do that.

I had the same problem with my sprint mav this weekend in Indy. We were looking for a Casino and it took use to the middle of a neighbor hood to some old peoples house! Haha, I was like what?!? It also told me that there was a Dave & Buster's and there isn't one in Indy.
